Laura Martin, a doctor at OPCW, an organization whose mission is to combat bioterrorism, is sent to Matavientos, a town in the south of Spain whose main industry is market gardening, where the local population is currently surrounded by police and military forces. An epidemic is spreading and, as the disease advances, the people affected become extremely aggressive zombies. All the clues seem to indicate that the virus is artificial, produced with a specific aim: to create submissive workers.
