José Luis Corral

José Luis Corral was born in 1957. A professor of medieval history at the University of Zaragoza, he has been a guest professor at universities in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, the USA, Mexico, Syria, Morocco and dozens of Spanish universities. Author of over thirty essays and works of historical research, he has also published the novels El salón dorado (1996), El amuleto de bronce. La epopeya de Gengis Kan (1998), El invierno de la Corona. Pedro el Ceremonioso (1999), El Cid (2000), Trafalgar (2001), Numancia (2003), El número de Dios (2004), Fulcanelli. El dueño del secreto (2008) and Fátima. El enigma de las apariciones (2009). He regularly contributes to the general media and academic historical journals, and carried out archaeological excavations on medieval settlements. He won the silver medal at the 34th New York International Film and Television Festival in 1992 and was a consultant for the Ridley Scott film 1492: The Conquest of Paradise. José Luis Corral is an author acclaimed by readers of historical novels and non-fiction works and enjoys prestige in academic circles as a professor and conference speaker.
