Boris Izaguirre, a Venezuelan based for many years in Spain, has a highly cosmopolitan outlook on life. A tireless polemicist, known for his regular appearances on Spanish TV and an expert on cinema, literature and architecture, he began his career writing articles and soap scripts in his home country. He is also a regular contributor to magazines like Zero, El País Semanal, Fotogramas and Marie Claire. As a novelist, he has used his passionate and ironic style to write a dozen works, full of cultural references. He has published the novels El vuelo de los avestruces (1991), Azul petróleo (1998) and 1965 (2002). He is also the author of the essays, Morir de glamour (2000), Verdades alteradas (2001), Fetiche (2003) and El armario secreto de Hitchcock (2005).
