Ander Izagirre (San Sebastian, 1976) wanted to become a cyclist and ended up a writer. He has published Accounts of the Porters of the Karakorum Mountains, The Survivors of Chernobyl, and The Farmer Who Milked the Clouds on the Island of El Hierro. He received the European Press Award of 2015 for his work on military crimes in Colombia.  He has published reports in media such as National Geographic, CNN, Altaïr, Jot Down, and Lonely Planet Magazine... and in newspapers such as El País, El Mundo, El Diario Vasco, El Correo, La Voz de Galicia, and Deia....
