From the mythical Elysian Fields, paradise for the souls of brave warriors who have died in combat, or the avenue of the tombs in Alyscamps in Arles, each path in this labyrinth that touches on life in this world or the world beyond will lead us to discover others––fifty of them in all. Many have held onto their magic and mystery across space and time. The reader will discover numerous locations and enclaves, and will view them through new eyes, with new sensations. Then there are other paths that will bring us closer to who we are inside as we walk over them. These are the ones that invite “travelers”––not tourists––to know themselves.
History is written on stones, in engravings, or on parchment and in books; but it is roads that make these incredibly surprising moments stick in our memory forever.
