José C. Vales

Zamora, España, 1965

José C. Vales (Zamora, 1965) received his degree in Hispanic Philology at the Universidad de Salamanca and later specialized in the philosophy and aesthetics of romantic literature in Madrid. His entire career has been spent in publishing as a writer, editor and translator for different imprints. His translation and editing work has included new editions of the Christmas Stories by Charles Dickens, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft. In 2013, he published his first novel El pensionado de Neuwelke (The Pensioner of Neuwelke).
